THE BEST LAWYER ANYONE COULD ASK FOR.

The BEST LAWYER ANYONE COULD ASK FOR!!! Todd changed our lives! He’s not JUST a lawyer representing us for a case. Todd and his office have become Family. When we entered his office in August of 2022, we entered with such anxiety, uncertainty, and so much stress. Honestly we were very lost. My husband and I felt alone. How could a lawyer who didn’t know us, know our family, know our background represents us, When this could change our lives for the next 5-7years that my husband was facing in Federal jail. By the time our free consultation was over with Todd, we left his office at ease. All our questions were answered and we had a sense of relief.

Unfortunately, there are several federal crimes that you could commit that you might need the assistance of an attorney with in court. These are crimes that are a bit more severe than a felony. They often involve government officials. Some federal crimes involve drugs while others involve money and bribery. If you are charged with any kind of federal crime, you should contact a reputable attorney as soon as possible to handle the matter as you could face several years in prison as well as significant fines.

When any branch of the military is involved, then the case can be tried in a federal court. Drinking and driving on a military base or pretending to be a member of the personnel in the military are common crimes associated with military offenses. If you evade the draft or try to use force against a military official, then the act could constitute a federal offense. A serious federal crime that could result in years in prison is selling government information to other people or other countries.

If you commit a crime that involves anything relating to the post office, then federal charges can be brought against you. Examples of crimes pertaining to the postal service include trying to get money or products through the mail, sending drugs through the mail, or sending explosive devices or equipment through a mail source. You can also be charged with a federal crime if you use another courier service that is similar to the postal service. Threatening a postal worker is a crime that could warrant other charges aside from the federal offense.

Since the IRS is a government agency, anything that relates to crimes against the IRS would be considered a federal crime. These are crimes that are committed either without a clear intent or with a purpose to commit fraud against the IRS. Common examples include tax fraud and evasion. Sometimes, you might not think that you’re committing a crime involving the IRS simply because you don’t file your taxes or because you don’t report forms that need to be attached to your tax return. While there are situations when you might not have to file or report information, you still need to communicate with the IRS. If you intentionally commit any kind of tax evasion or an employer doesn’t withhold federal taxes from employees, then federal charges could be filed. If the crime is associated with any kind of government benefits, then you could face a federal charge as well. Examples include receiving disability benefits for someone who is deceased or receiving disability or Medicare when you’re not eligible but after supplying false information to obtain benefits. Most of the time, a review process will discover the fraud that you’ve committed. You could have to pay back the benefits that you’ve received. If you’ve committed an act against the IRS, then you could have to pay back taxes. Federal criminal charges involve applying for food stamps and other welfare benefits and fraudulently receiving them by not submitting truthful information. You could also receive Social Security benefits or file a claim for Federal disaster relief when you are not supposed to receive them.

Most of the time, you can usually determine whether you’re going to be involved with federal charges based on the type of crime that you committed. If it involves any kind of government agency or any kind of military agency, then you’ll probably see the inside of a federal courthouse. An attorney can offer assistance by explaining the criminal process as it relates to federal crimes and what you should expect regarding sentencing as you could spend a longer time in prison than if you were charged with a misdemeanor or a felony.
