Mary Lou has extensive experience in all aspects of family law, from the initial interview through trial. Mary Lou also handles family law appeals and was one of the appellate attorneys who drafted the prevailing brief in the precedent setting case involving child support issues in shared custody situations, Bast v. Rossoff.
Mary Lou understands the sensitive issues presented by matrimonial and family law cases. Each case is unique and Mary Lou takes the time to thoroughly understand her client’s circumstances and the result they would like to achieve. Mary Lou takes the time to explain the law and how it applies to each client’s particular circumstances. Mary Lou believes that by sharing her knowledge and experience with her clients, she can empower them to make the best choices they can during a very difficult time of transition.
Mary Lou tries to help her clients address their family law issues as efficiently as possible, so they can move forward in their lives. In furtherance of that goal, she is equally comfortable with collaborative negotiation or aggressive advocacy, whatever is required to obtain the best outcome possible for her clients.
