Shore Funding Solutions Complaints: 7 Patterns in What Borrowers Report

The dominant complaint against Shore Funding Solutions is not about a funding deal. It is about the phone. At least 14 federal dockets name the company as a defendant, most citing the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

The simple answer on Shore Funding Solutions complaints is that BBB has the company as accredited with an A+ rating, and its BBB reviews average out at 4.2 of 5 stars. Shore Funding Solutions, Inc. is a broker, not a lender, with a staff of about 80 people in Melville, New York. Most complaints are about unsolicited calls and text messages, not about the funding itself. We’ve seen telemarketing litigation mentioning the company, but none where Shore Funding was actually found liable.

1. Unwanted calls and texts

Most of the roughly ten BBB complaints we found in three years are about unsolicited calls and text messages. In one of them, the text said the customer was pre-approved for up to $250,000, and the customer had never contacted the company.

2. Calls after asking to stop

BBB reviews also mention being called after requesting a stop and even after adding a number to the national “Do Not Call” registry. Most of them got a reply that Shore Funding would add the number to an internal no-contact list. The results seem to have been mixed. In December 2025, a complainant says that, despite being on the national “Do Not Call” list, and repeated requests to be removed from call lists, Shore Funding keeps calling daily. Overall, Shore Funding Solutions replies to most of the complaints, and often the reply has an apology of one kind or another.

The Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) says telemarketers can’t call a consumer’s personal line more than once in a twelve-month period after it’s been registered on the national list. And the FTC says that list covers personal, not business, numbers. If a TCPA violation happens to you, you can sue for statutory damages of up to $500 per violation. If it was willful or knowing, a court can triple that number.

3. Robocall lawsuits in federal court

The company has been the defendant in at least six lawsuits in federal courts over alleged violations of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), dating from 2017 to 2024. The cases were filed in the Eastern District of New York. A 2017 proposed class action over texts was terminated after the plaintiffs failed to win certification. Allegations are not facts or findings by a court. In another case, a magistrate recommended sanctions limited to the plaintiff’s attorney fees after the defendant’s conduct during discovery. We haven’t seen any information on whether there was a settlement or what its terms were.

4. Pre-approved, then declined

One BBB customer got a series of text messages offering “pre-approval,” then got declined. They called that bait and switch. In that case, the vendor says their offer texts are based on preliminary data, but the final approval requires full underwriting and lender guidelines. So the pre-approval is not an approval, but an invitation to apply.

5. Your file gets around

One BBB complaint mentions Shore Funding sharing the application data with funding partners, which seems normal for a broker. Shore’s reply refers to an authorization on the application. A later complaint from the same customer says it led to calls from other companies that still had its file. It’s the nature of this industry that by using one broker, you’re likely to hear from more, and that’s the case here too.

6. No price until the contract

Shore Funding Solutions’ site advertises term loans from $10,000 to $2 million, credit lines up to $5 million, and equipment financing to $3 million. It says it can fund a customer in as little as 24 hours. But the site offers no figures for the costs of any of its products. The contract is the only place you see them. Rates or terms can vary widely by lender and customer, so it’s difficult to find an exact number. On a $50,000 advance, a factor rate of 1.4 would mean you’d repay $70,000. One brokered contract included $400 in processing and UCC filing costs.

Keep in mind that your contract is with the funder, not the broker. Shore Funding is the link between you and the funder. One significant search you can do is for legal actions and UCC filings by the funder, not Shore Funding. And if you’re a customer in the state of New York, the law requires a standardized set of disclosures for certain commercial financing offers up to $2.5 million, including merchant cash advances.

7. A thin regulatory record

We found no Consumer Financial Protection Bureau or FTC action against the company. The only regulator matter we found was a 2018 $2,500 administrative penalty in California for filing an annual report 24 business days late. It had to do with paperwork, not customer harm.

The company claims founding in 2014 and BBB accreditation since July 2016. It has made Inc. magazine’s Inc. 5000 list five times since 2018. Shorefunding.com is a parked domain. It’s there, but its real address is shorefundingsolutions.com.

One rule for applying through a broker is to know the exact details of the money before you sign anything. That includes the funder’s name, the term, the daily or weekly payment in dollars, the total payback amount in dollars, fees, any security interest, and any confession of judgment. Look for any personal guarantee, particularly one from you.
