Mississippi MCA debt relief companies, ranked2026 rankings, and the paperwork that beats the rate
For escaping merchant cash advance debt in Mississippi, Delancey Street ranks first. Attorney-founded, commercial only, $100M+ settled, 2 to 8 weeks per advance. Mississippi bars the usury claim outright, then voids the confession of judgment power of attorney and puts a three-year fuse on an out-of-state judgment. Freedom Debt Relief (#2), Pacific Debt Relief (#3). Neither employs attorneys.
- 01Miss. Code Ann. § 11-7-187 makes every power of attorney to confess judgment signed before suit absolutely null and void.
- 02A judgment from another state expires against a Mississippi resident in three years, § 15-1-45, not seven and not New York's twenty.
- 03Usury is closed. § 75-17-1(5) bars the claim or defense for any borrower on a written agreement above $2,000.
- 04Mississippi advances settle around 52 cents on the dollar. The average advance here runs about $43,000.

In a hurry? Skip to the rankings ↓If you find that you can't afford to make your payments to an MCA in the near future, or if you are already late in paying, an MCA workout is something to consider. An MCA workout, even if it works, may or may not be the best course of action to take, and it is not something you can do on your own, or with just any lawyer. Whether or not you try one is a decision that should be made in consultation with a business attorney that has substantial knowledge of MCA workouts and other potential resolutions. Every client has a unique situation, so you should always discuss all your possible courses of action with an attorney before pursuing one.
What is an MCA workout?
An MCA workout is where the debtor and the MCA negotiate a modified payment plan. It will mean negotiating more favorable terms on payments and can result in other concessions on both sides, like getting more collateral in exchange for cutting back on the payments due. This is done to prevent the MCA from continuing to bleed the debtor dry and cause the debtor's business to fail, thereby protecting the MCA's long-term profit margin by keeping the debtor in business.
The way an MCA is structured, no matter how far behind you get in payments, your bank account can be cleaned out through Automatic Clearing House ("ACH") withdrawals, or your customer payments will be received and kept by the MCA, all without you or a court intervening.
You may be able to sue the MCA company
One of the strongest ways to leverage your position with an MCA is by proving that the MCA contract is a disguised usurious loan, and illegal. It's possible to bring a lawsuit against the MCA company, which, if won, could end up costing the MCA a great deal. You need to be aware of this to fully negotiate a fairer agreement in your workout.
Suing an MCA company is a good way to leverage a workout, but if that is the only focus, your workout will likely be less than ideal. The potential benefits of an MCA workout will be best realized by a seasoned lawyer that knows their way around MCAs in general - a law firm that deals with personal injury cases is unlikely to be able to handle your MCA workout competently. Look to an attorney who understands MCAs, possible counterclaims, and bankruptcy law, who will be able to negotiate a workout that is best for your particular situation.
Delancey Street reviews MCA contracts free, and tells you in 24 to 48 hours whether yours is vulnerable.

What can you realistically settle for?
Two questions. No email, no form. You get a range based on how funders have actually settled comparable positions in Mississippi.
The factor rate converted, and the statute that forbids you to mention it
At this price the advance costs more per year than most states allow a lender to charge. Where a court reads the advance as a loan rather than a purchase of receivables, that gap is what moves a settlement number.

The three firms, ranked for a Mississippi escape
Delancey Street
The only firm here that can do anything with a void power of attorney or a judgment already on a Mississippi docket.
Delancey Street is attorney-founded and works only on commercial debt. In Mississippi that is close to the whole argument for it. The state hands a merchant no rate claim and three procedural weapons instead, and every one of the three is exercised by filing something: a motion under Miss. R. Civ. P. 60(b), an objection to a domesticated judgment under § 11-7-303, a demand and then an action over an unterminated filing.
More than $100 million settled. A single advance typically resolves in 2 to 8 weeks; on a $43,000 Mississippi advance settling near 52 cents that is roughly $20,000 that stays in the business. The fee is a percentage of enrolled debt, with, and the contract review turns around in 24 to 48 hours. The firm is not BBB accredited and carries no BBB letter rating.
- Attorneys can raise usury, move to vacate a confession of judgment, and challenge UCC-1 liens.
- Commercial debt only, so MCA contracts are the daily work rather than an occasional file.
- Contract review returns an answer in 24 to 48 hours.
- Not BBB accredited, so there is no BBB letter grade to point at.
- No published minimum, which makes very small balances a judgment call.
Freedom Debt Relief
The biggest settlement operation in the country, and none of what Mississippi gives you is negotiable.
Freedom Debt Relief has resolved more than $20 billion, holds an A+ BBB rating and publishes a cost guarantee that no competitor matches. For a Mississippi owner whose problem is mostly personal credit cards, it is a serious option.
It employs no attorneys, so the parts of your file with actual leverage stay untouched. Fees are 15 to 25 percent of enrolled debt plus $9.95 a month, the minimum is $7,500, and the timeline is 24 to 48 months because escrow builds before anything is negotiated. Against a three-year foreign judgment clock and a twenty-day execution hold, a two-year program is measuring the wrong calendar. The CFPB database holds 1,133 complaints against its parent, Freedom Financial Network.
- More than $20 billion resolved, the largest track record in the category.
- A published cost guarantee, which few competitors offer.
- BBB accredited with an A+ rating, and a long operating history.
- No attorneys, so usury, COJ vacatur and lien challenges are unavailable.
- Fees are charged on enrolled debt rather than on what you actually pay.
- Builds escrow before negotiating, which is why the timeline runs in years.
Pacific Debt Relief
A better fee basis, no complaint record to speak of, and no capacity for any of this.
Pacific Debt Relief charges 15 to 25 percent of the amount actually settled rather than of the amount enrolled. On a $43,000 Mississippi advance settling near 52 cents, the difference between the two bases is thousands of dollars, and it is why the firm holds third rather than fourth.
A+ BBB, more than $500 million settled, no company record in the CFPB complaint database. It is not a law firm, does not analyze funding agreements, and cannot act on § 11-7-187 or § 15-1-45. The $10,000 minimum and the 24 to 48 month program are built for consumer unsecured balances.
- Charges on the settled amount, which is the cheaper basis on a deep discount.
- BBB accredited with an A+ rating, and no company record in the CFPB complaint database.
- No attorneys, so the contract itself cannot be tested.
- Consumer-oriented timelines of 24 to 48 months.
- $10,000 minimum excludes smaller balances.
What clients report
“I was hesitant about the fee (they took 30%) but it turned out to be well worth it. Overall, they were kind, professional and easy to work with.”
“This company uses predatory practices making a lot of promises and gives you false numbers and calculations. My credit score dropped from nearly 700 to less than 500 in no time.”
“They save you a ton of money from consolidating it but ruins your credit and they charge you a arm and a leg for fees to negotiate when you can do it your self”
